The statue of Christ, the Redeemer is one of the main symbols of Brazil. A privileged panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro is offered from the belvedere. In 2002, when the monument is 70 years old, works are being carried out to install elevators and escalators on that site. Presently, one has to go up 220 steps so as to enjoy the landscape.

However, until the works are finished, those who intend to visit Corcovado by car should be patient. Since June, parking is close to receive the equipament that will be installed. Check out some options to do not miss this unforgetable tour.
